2024 lamb market - insights and marketing tips

By Scout Nelson

North Dakota State University Extension and the University of Minnesota Extension are collaborating with the Livestock Marketing Information Center to host an informative webinar on the lamb market outlook.

Scheduled for July 10 at 7:30 p.m. CDT, the webinar aims to provide valuable insights for producers planning to market their 2024 lamb crop.

Travis Hoffman, Extension sheep specialist for both NDSU and UMN, emphasizes the webinar's focus on understanding market dynamics and utilizing tools to aid in decision-making.

The session will feature agricultural economist Tyler Cozzens from the Livestock Marketing Information Center, renowned for his expertise in lamb economics. Cozzens will discuss current supply and demand trends in the American sheep and lamb market, offering projections for the upcoming season.

Interested participants are required to register at ndsu.ag/lambmarket to receive a Zoom link for the live session.

Registrants unable to attend will receive a recording via email, ensuring access to valuable market insights even if they cannot participate live.

This initiative underscores the commitment of both university extensions to supporting producers with timely and relevant agricultural information. For additional information, contact Brenda Miller at nels4220@umn.edu or Travis Hoffman at travis.w.hoffman@ndsu.edu.
