This year, the Nebraska Women in Agriculture program is commemorating its 40th anniversary by hosting the "Legacy of Leadership - Faces of Nebraska Women in Agriculture" photo gallery.

This special event will take place at the Nebraska State Fair from August 26 to September 2, showcasing the integral role women have played in shaping Nebraska’s agricultural sector.

The exhibition features portraits by John Noltner, capturing the resilience and innovation of these pioneering women.

Jessica Groskopf, Director of the program, emphasizes the exhibition’s aim to spark discussions on the significant contributions of women in agriculture.

The gallery will also tour other prominent locations throughout the year, including Husker Harvest Days and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, ensuring widespread exposure.

The showcased portraits not only celebrate past achievements but also aim to inspire future generations of women in agriculture.

Funded by Humanities Nebraska and other supporters, the initiative highlights the program’s ongoing commitment to providing educational and networking opportunities for women in this vital industry.

Through this exhibition and its associated events, the Nebraska Women in Agriculture program continues to support and empower female agriculturists, promoting leadership and learning across the state.
