Acres of Opportunity Conference Empowers Iowa Farmers

Acres of Opportunity Conference Empowers Iowa Farmers

By Andi Anderson

The Acres of Opportunity Conference is set to take place on February 15, 2025, at the Bien VenU Event Center in Cedar Falls, Iowa. This one-day event, inspired by the Iowa Farm Bureau, is designed to help farmers explore innovative ways to diversify their operations and discover new revenue streams.

The conference features a variety of breakout sessions focusing on niche markets such as specialty meats, berries, chestnuts, lavender, and other alternative crops and livestock.

Attendees will have the unique opportunity to connect with industry experts and farmers who have successfully integrated these ventures into their businesses.

In addition to niche market sessions, the event will offer valuable insights into business strategies, including loan programs, e-commerce, and grant opportunities. These sessions aim to equip both new and established farmers with the tools needed to enhance their profitability and sustainability.

Two keynote speakers will headline the conference. Natalie Kovarik, a fourth-generation cattle rancher turned social entrepreneur, will share her inspiring journey and the importance of boldness in business.

Jerry Carroll, a farmer, TV co-host, and national comedian, will add a touch of humor with his entertaining stories about farm life and family.

The Acres of Opportunity Conference provides an excellent platform for farmers to learn, network, and gain inspiration for their agricultural operations. Whether you're looking to diversify your farm or refine your business strategy, this event promises valuable insights and actionable takeaways.

For detailed agendas and registration information, visit the event's official page or contact the Iowa Farm Bureau. Don’t miss this chance to explore new opportunities and connect with the agricultural community in Iowa.
