AGCO and Ohio dealer split - John Deere's tractor lead

AGCO and Ohio dealer split - John Deere's tractor lead

By Andi Anderson

In recent developments impacting the agricultural machinery sector, AGCO has confirmed that Ohio Ag Equipment will conclude its distribution agreement with the manufacturer by the close of 2024.

Operating eight stores across the region, Ohio Ag Equipment specializes in equipment from AGCO, Claas, Geringhoff, and Woods Equipment, notably serving as the exclusive dealer for Claas combines in Ohio.

AGCO's leadership emphasized their commitment to meet growing farmer demand by reshaping their Ohio dealership network.

With Ohio Machinery Co. also exiting the agricultural market, AGCO plans to expand services through established dealerships across former Ohio Ag Equipment territories. Further details on this strategic transformation are expected to be announced around July 1, 2024.

Concurrently, AGCO is hosting its annual Tech Days event on June 26-27, 2024, at Ade Farm in Salina, Kansas.

This event will showcase AGCO's dedication to farmer-focused solutions across its brand portfolio, including Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Valtra, and PTx, the company's newest precision ag brand.
