By Andi Anderson

CropsTV, an online educational program by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, is now available for its fifth season. The platform offers farmers and agricultural professionals access to valuable crop production insights anytime, anywhere.

This season includes 28 pre-recorded episodes covering crop management, pest control, nutrient management, and soil and water conservation.

Some of the exclusive topics include optimizing sulfur fertilizer, manure valuation, grain marketing strategies, agro-climate decision-making tools, and strategies for managing corn yield drag after cereal rye.

Since its launch five years ago, CropsTV has provided a flexible learning experience for farmers and agribusiness professionals.

Leah Ten Napel, a field agronomist with ISU Extension, emphasized the program’s value, stating that it allows participants to access expert insights on their schedules.

Registration for CropsTV remains open until April 1, with access to all episodes available until April 15. The program costs $100 and includes 20 Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) credits along with reference materials.
