Dairy webinar to focus on corn silage quality analysis

By Andi Anderson

The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Dairy Team continues its monthly webinar series with a focus on corn silage quality on Tuesday, December 3.

The one-hour program, running from 12 noon to 1 p.m., will feature Neal Wininger, a feed and forage consultant with Dairyland Labs in Arcadia, Wisconsin.

Wininger will analyze lab results from this year’s corn silage samples, providing insights into crop quality and its potential impact on milk production.

His presentation aims to help dairy producers, consultants, and industry professionals better understand how silage quality affects efficiency and productivity.

“Understanding the quality of corn silage is critical for optimizing milk production,” Wininger explained. “This year’s data offers valuable information on what producers can expect.”

The webinar is free of charge, but participants must register online at least one hour before the program begins to receive the webinar link.

This event is part of the Iowa State Dairy Team’s ongoing commitment to providing educational resources for the dairy industry.

It offers an excellent opportunity for producers and consultants to stay informed about the latest trends and techniques in forage management. Register online today to secure your spot.
