The Managing Soil: Maximizing Profit Meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 9:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Wagner Movie Theater Banquet Room in Wagner, South Dakota. The Southeast Research Farm Annual Business Meeting will also occur during the event from 12:45 to 1:00 p.m.
This educational event will focus on improving soil health through reduced tillage, diverse crop rotations, enhancing soil microbiology, and integrating cattle grazing with annual forages and cover crops. Attendees can also earn continuing education credits for certified crop advisors.

9:45 a.m.: Tillage, Rotation and Soil Health – Presented by SDSU Extension experts.
11:00 a.m.: DIY Boosting Beneficial Microbes – Practical insights from local solutions.
1:00 p.m.: Managing Soil, Crops, and Cattle – Insights on profitable strategies.
2:00 p.m.: Grazing Forages and Cover Crops – Expert guidance on sustainable grazing.
3:00 p.m.: Panel Discussion – Open dialogue with all presenters.
