Dr. Kimberly VanderWaal, an esteemed associate professor in the Department of Veterinary Population Medicine, has been recognized for her exceptional contributions to graduate teaching and advising.
As a member of the Swine Group at the University of Minnesota, Dr. VanderWaal’s dedication to her students and her field has earned her the Outstanding Graduate Advising/Teaching Award.
This accolade was presented at the College of Veterinary Medicine Education Day, an annual event that celebrates the pursuit of knowledge in veterinary medicine and honors those whose teaching contributions significantly impact their students.
The Education Day program includes a poster session, presentations, and a workshop, with teaching awards presented to recognize the exemplary work of faculty and staff throughout the College. Dr. VanderWaal’s nomination for this award came from the students in the Graduate Programs, a testament to her influence and the respect she commands in her field.
