Explore rotational grazing at Dangelo family farm

By Andi Anderson

Experience firsthand the advantages of rotational grazing at the Eastern Ohio Grazing Council's workshop, held at Dangelo Family Farm in Columbiana County. Led by Jimmy Giannone, this event offers valuable insights into sustainable farming practices.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore topics such as establishing native warm-season grass pastures, leveraging managed pastures for wildlife benefits, and enhancing pasture quality through hay feeding. Haley Shoemaker from OSU Extension will share expert knowledge on these subjects.

Interested attendees are encouraged to RSVP to Carroll SWCD to secure a spot and ensure a meal is provided. The workshop promises to be an educational and interactive experience for farmers and agricultural enthusiasts alike.

The Eastern Ohio Grazing Council is dedicated to promoting sustainable grazing practices and environmental stewardship. Farmers looking to expand their knowledge and network with like-minded individuals can join upcoming events by contacting Carroll SWCD or Beth via email.

Special thanks to the event sponsors for their support in making educational opportunities accessible to the farming community in Eastern Ohio. Their contributions play a crucial role in advancing sustainable agriculture and conservation efforts.
