Feeding Minds Press Releases New Agriculture Children’s Book

By Jamie Martin

Feeding Minds Press has released a new children’s book titled I Love Blueberries, a sequel to the award-winning I Love Strawberries. This book continues the story of Jolie, a young gardener whose passion for growing food leads her to discover blueberries and a new method of farming.

In this engaging story, Jolie visits a blueberry farm and decides to try growing her own blueberries. Unlike her previous adventure with strawberries, this time she explores hydroponics—a soil-free method of growing plants using water and nutrients.

The book not only encourages children to appreciate fresh fruits like blueberries but also introduces them to science, nutrition, math, and problem-solving through gardening. It shows how hard work and teamwork can lead to success.

Set in a classroom, Jolie and her new friend Margo create a do-it-yourself hydroponic bucket farm. Their teamwork and creativity highlight that farming can be fun, accessible, and educational.

The book promotes awareness about where food comes from and how children can grow their own produce using simple techniques. It is an inspiring tool for both parents and educators to introduce sustainable farming concepts to kids.

Feeding Minds Press, a part of the American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture, aims to connect young readers with agriculture through fun, fact-based stories.
