Fruit Crop Weed Control Session

Fruit Crop Weed Control Session

By Scout Nelson

University of Minnesota Extension invites growers and agricultural professionals to attend a winter webinar focused on integrated weed management in fruit and vegetable production. The session will take place on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. (Central Time) as part of a weekly winter webinar series.

This educational event brings together Extension educators, industry professionals, and experienced producers to share practical knowledge about successful fruit and vegetable crop management. The series covers key topics such as crop planning, irrigation practices, pest control, and sustainable production methods.

During this specific session, participants will explore holistic and organic approaches to managing weeds. Integrated weed management focuses on combining different strategies to reduce weed pressure while protecting soil health and crop quality. The discussion will highlight sustainable techniques that help improve long-term farm productivity.

The webinar is designed for aspiring growers and small to medium-sized operations looking to strengthen their crop management skills. It provides practical guidance in an easy-to-understand format suitable for individuals at various experience levels.

There is no cost to attend the webinar, but registration is required. Participants may choose to attend one or multiple sessions in the winter series. Registration can be completed at the following link: https://umn.zoom.us/meeting/register/BDydt6RBSL2N6s_ODQjUVw#/registration.
