Due to the extreme weather experienced throughout the State of Illinois, the Illinois Department of Agriculture has extended the Junior Livestock Entry Deadline for the Illinois State Fair.
The new deadline is set for Thursday, July 18 at 5 p.m. This extension aims to accommodate exhibitors who may have been impacted by the recent severe weather.
This year, exhibitor registration has moved online using ShoWorks. The new system, along with the Livestock Premium Book, is available on the Illinois State Fair website.
This change is part of an effort to streamline the registration process and make it more convenient for participants.
Exhibitors who have questions or need assistance with the online registration can contact the Competitive Events office at 217.782.0786. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is ready to help with any concerns or issues that may arise during the registration process.
The 2024 Illinois State Fair will take place from August 8 through August 18 in Springfield.
The fair is a significant event for the agricultural community, providing a platform for showcasing livestock, participating in competitions, and enjoying various entertainment and educational activities.
The extension of the entry deadline ensures that all exhibitors have ample time to complete their registrations despite the challenges posed by the weather.
The Illinois Department of Agriculture encourages all eligible participants to take advantage of the extended deadline and ensure their entries are submitted on time.
