Indiana Ag photo contest - enter now

By Andi Anderson

The Indiana State Department of Agriculture announces the opening of the 17th annual Indiana Agriculture Photo Contest starting June 2024. This contest is designed to celebrate the dedication of Hoosier farmers and the picturesque agricultural scenes across the state.

Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch, also serving as Indiana’s Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, encourages all Indiana residents to participate. "This is a great opportunity to showcase the diverse aspects of agriculture in Indiana, no matter your level of photography experience," said Lt. Gov. Crouch.

Entries can be submitted under four categories:

  • On the Farm - Includes buildings, equipment, or farm activities.
  • Faces of Agriculture - Features the people behind Indiana’s agriculture.
  • Agritourism - Focuses on destinations like orchards and wineries.
  • Conservation - Captures landscapes and nature scenes.

Ten winners will be chosen, two from each category, plus two overall winners. These winners will be honored at a special ceremony at the Indiana State Fair, receive certificates, and have their photographs displayed in the Lt. Governor’s Family of Business offices in Indianapolis.

Participants may submit up to five photos in digital format. Each photo must be accompanied by a submission form, and the photos will be judged on creativity, composition, and how well they represent their category. The deadline for submissions is 5:00 p.m. (ET) on June 30, 2024.

This contest not only highlights the beauty and vitality of Indiana’s agricultural landscape but also gives participants a platform to express their artistic talents and connect with the broader community.
