Jacob Sherman To Lead Merlo Southeast Growth

Jacob Sherman To Lead Merlo Southeast Growth

By Andi Anderson

Merlo America has announced the appointment of Jacob Sherman as Territory Business Manager, strengthening the company’s leadership team and expanding support for dealers and customers across the Southeast United States.

Sherman brings a diverse background that combines business education, agricultural experience, and industry knowledge. Originally from Tennessee, he completed both undergraduate and graduate degrees in business and aerospace administration at Middle Tennessee State University, along with a minor in entrepreneurship.

Although his career began in the aerospace sector, his professional journey soon shifted toward agriculture, where he developed a strong interest in the equipment and production industries.

Throughout his career, Sherman has gained experience across several major agricultural companies. He began with WinField Solutions, part of Land O’Lakes, where he worked in the crop input sector and developed a strong understanding of agricultural production systems and supply chains.

He later joined CNH, supporting Case IH equipment across the Northeast United States and Eastern Canada. During this time, he worked with lower horsepower tractors and hay and forage equipment, helping strengthen relationships with dealers and customers.

Sherman also worked with Kubota, where he served as a product manager and later supervised a team of product specialists. These roles allowed him to build technical knowledge while improving customer communication and product marketing strategies.

His next position with LS Tractor further expanded his marketing expertise, where he helped develop digital advertising programs and customer relationship management systems to support dealer engagement and sales growth.

In his new role with Merlo America, Sherman will focus on dealer development and market expansion throughout the Southeast region. Based near Atlanta, Georgia, he will work closely with dealers to strengthen partnerships and expand the company’s market presence.

“From day one, I’ve been impressed by the team’s collaborative spirit. Merlo has that rare combination of premium product quality and a ‘can-do’ attitude across the organization. Everyone is focused on helping customers stay productive and supported, and that’s exactly the kind of environment I want to be part of,” said Sherman.

Company leaders say his experience and relationship-focused approach align well with Merlo America’s growth strategy. Sherman’s goals include expanding the dealer network, supporting existing partners, and building long-term relationships that strengthen confidence in both the brand and its equipment.

“Jacob brings the kind of experience, energy, and dealer-focused mindset that perfectly aligns with Merlo America’s direction,” said Jennifer Brigman, Vice President of Strategy and Operations at Merlo America. “He understands what it takes to build strong relationships and deliver real value to our partners and customers. We’re excited to have him on board as we continue to expand our presence across the U.S.”

He is also expected to visit the company’s headquarters in Italy to further understand Merlo’s engineering and product development. As Merlo America continues expanding in the United States, the company believes Sherman’s leadership will help support dealers, customers, and long-term market growth.
