The Kansas Department of Agriculture invites you to the ninth annual Kansas Governor’s Summit on Agricultural Growth in Manhattan. The event will be held on Wednesday, August 21, at the K-State Alumni Center, 1720 Anderson Ave. A social event will take place on Tuesday evening, August 20, at the same venue.
The summit will focus on discussing growth opportunities and challenges within the Kansas agriculture industry. Attendees will hear from sector leaders and partners about the critical issues affecting the industry.
The 2024 Ag Growth Summit will feature two notable guest speakers addressing international agriculture topics. Alexis M. Taylor, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs, will discuss “Global Markets, Local Impact: The Power of Trade in Advancing U.S. Agriculture.” Eddy Acevedo, principal advisor on national security and foreign policy matters at The Wilson Center, will present on “Geopolitical Impact on International Trade and National Security.”
The summit is free to attend, but attendees must register by August 9 to ensure adequate materials and accurate meal counts. Registration can be completed at www.agriculture.ks.gov/Summit.
