Kansas Livestock Association Announces Roundtable Tour

Kansas Livestock Association Announces Roundtable Tour

By Scout Nelson

The Kansas Livestock Association (KLA) is hosting a series of roundtable meetings across Kansas ahead of its annual convention. The sessions will give cattle producers and association members an opportunity to discuss industry issues, organizational priorities, and challenges affecting livestock operations.

The meetings are intended to strengthen communication between KLA leadership and its membership. Attendees will be able to share concerns, offer suggestions, and hear updates on policy and industry matters being addressed by KLA and the National Cattlemen's Beef Association (NCBA).

KLA says member feedback plays an important role in shaping its advocacy efforts and future priorities. The discussions will help the organization better understand the needs of ranchers and livestock businesses across the state.

The meeting schedule begins on October 27, 2026, with sessions in Vassar and Colby. Additional meetings will take place in Zenda on October 28, 2026, Fredonia on November 2, 2026, Garden City on November 5, 2026 and Minneapolis on November 9, 2026.

A virtual roundtable meeting is scheduled for November 10, 2026 providing an option for members who cannot attend in person. All sessions are designed to encourage participation and input from producers.

The in-person meetings will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. CT and will include a complimentary beef dinner. Members are encouraged to RSVP by emailing shelbi@kla.org or calling (785) 273-5115 and providing attendee names and the preferred meeting location.

Those planning to join the virtual session should provide an email address when registering to receive participation details and the meeting link. Through these discussions, KLA hopes to gather valuable feedback and continue addressing issues important to Kansas livestock producers.
