Manure Expo 2026 Opens Registration in Nebraska

Manure Expo 2026 Opens Registration in Nebraska

By Scout Nelson

Registration is now open for the 2026 North American Manure Expo, which will take place July 28-30 at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Wayne, Nebraska. This major agricultural event will bring together experts, educators, and industry professionals to share knowledge about manure management and sustainable farming practices.

The event is being organized by Nebraska Extension’s Animal Manure Management team. Experts and educators from across the state have worked together to plan the event, including selecting tour locations and designing educational sessions.

On July 28, participants can join one of five tour options, starting early in the morning. These tours cover topics such as composting, renewable energy, cattle care, research, poultry production, and modern farm technology. Some tours also include family-friendly themes focusing on agriculture, wildlife, and Nebraska history. Registration is required for tours, but attendees can still participate in the main event without joining them.

On July 29 and 30, the expo will feature a large trade show. Visitors can explore equipment displays, watch live demonstrations, and learn about new technologies in manure handling and management. Educational sessions will also be held on important topics such as safety, nutrient management, and soil health.

Some of the sessions include topics like proper manure handling practices, sampling methods, understanding manure gases, and managing contaminants. A new feature this year is panel discussions. These audience-led discussions will focus on key industry topics, including Careers in Manure, and Plastic Pathways.

The expo continues its mission of “Professionalism in Manure Management.” It is organized through a partnership of extension organizations from the United States and Canada, along with industry partners. A national board ensures high standards of education and supports professionals in the field.

Early bird discounts are available until June 30. Interested participants can register through the North American Manure Expo website.

This event offers a valuable opportunity for learning, networking, and exploring new ideas in agriculture.
