By Scout Nelson

Calling all youth livestock enthusiasts! Elevate your livestock evaluation skills at the Minnesota 4-H Livestock Judging Camp. Join us from June 17-19 at the University of Minnesota St. Paul Campus for a comprehensive training experience.

Led by the University of Minnesota Livestock Judging Team and Coach Kyle Rozeboom, this camp is designed to teach fundamental livestock judging techniques, enhance oral reasoning abilities, and instill confidence in participants.

The camp itinerary includes check-in on Monday, June 17, at 11 a.m., with the program concluding on Wednesday, June 19, with an awards ceremony at 1 p.m. Throughout the camp, attendees will engage in hands-on activities, receive instruction on evaluation methods, and practice oral reasoning skills.

Open to youth livestock enthusiasts in grades 6-12, this camp offers an invaluable opportunity to refine judging abilities and gain insight into livestock evaluation practices.

Registration for the camp is $150, with the deadline for registration and payment set for June 7. Participants will receive additional information, including the daily schedule, accommodation options, meal arrangements, and driving directions, via email upon registration.

Don't miss out on this chance to enhance your livestock judging skills and connect with fellow enthusiasts.
