The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) has opened the next round of funding through its Underserved, Value-Added, and Regional Food Systems Grant Program.
Grant proposals must be submitted by 5 p.m. EST on June 11, 2025, via the MiAgGrants system.
This funding opportunity continues Michigan’s commitment to supporting underserved food and agriculture businesses, fostering value-added processing, and building resilient regional supply chains. It is backed by investments through Governor Whitmer’s bipartisan state budget.
In 2024, MDARD awarded grants to 51 projects, highlighting its growing support for innovative and inclusive food system development.
To help applicants navigate the process, MDARD will hold a free informational webinar on April 30, 2025, from 10–11:30 a.m. The session will be hosted on Microsoft Teams, and no registration is required. Interested participants can find access details on the program’s official grant page.
