U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) has announced a five-stop agricultural tour across Southern Illinois in the first week of August. The tour will include events to discuss the Farm Bill, trade, renewable energy, and a visit to Ag Day at the Illinois State Fair.

“Agriculture is the backbone of our rural economy. That’s why we’re dedicating the first week of August to all things Southern Illinois agriculture,” said Bost. “As Southern Illinois’ voice on the House Agriculture Committee, I am proud our committee has passed a 2024 Farm Bill that works for our farmers, growers, and producers, and I look forward to highlighting those wins with my constituents.”

The agriculture tour details are as follows. Interested constituents are invited to join the Trade Talk and Barnyard Roundup events. If interested, please RSVP through the provided links.

Solar Sitdown:

WHAT: Rep. Bost meets with Washington County Officials and constituents to discuss solar panel tracks on prime farmland.

WHEN: Wednesday, August 7th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
