The Minnesota Renewable Energy Society (MRES) is gearing up for an exciting year ahead, with the Board Chair, Mark Weber, presenting a year-in-review summary for 2024 and laying out the goals for 2025. The presentation will include key accomplishments of the past year and the steps MRES will take in the coming year to meet the increasing demand for renewable energy.
Mark Weber has been passionate about renewable energy for over 40 years. As the current board chair of MRES, he has dedicated much of his career to advancing clean energy initiatives. His journey began in the 1980s, working with Jack Duffy at the University of Wisconsin, and in 2011, Mark installed his first set of solar panels.
His commitment to renewable energy has grown over the decades, and he is now also a member of the Eaton Society of Inventors. Mark is retired from Eaton/Danfoss Power Solutions, having spent much of his career there.
During the virtual celebration after Mark's presentation, MRES members and supporters will come together to celebrate the achievements of the past year and discuss the future direction of the organization. MRES is focused on growing its membership and continuing efforts to increase the share of renewable energy in the grid and in transportation systems, key components for a sustainable future.
Mark’s leadership in 2024 has set the stage for more progress, with a clear focus on the challenges ahead in integrating renewable energy. As MRES moves into 2025, the goal is to work collaboratively to make renewable energy more accessible and sustainable.
