Michigan State University Extension is once again hosting its Field Crops Virtual Breakfast Series, running every Thursday from March 27 through September 18, 2025, from 7 to 8 a.m. via Zoom.

These weekly webinars are designed for farmers, certified crop advisors (CCAs), and pesticide applicators. Each session includes expert-led crop updates, weather forecasts, and an interactive Q&A session. Topics are flexible and may change based on real-time crop challenges like flooding, drought, or disease outbreaks.

  • 7:15–7:30 a.m.: Weather update by Jeff Andresen
  • 7:35 a.m.: CEU and RUP credit info
  • 7:37–8:00 a.m.: Live Q&A with specialists

Continuing education benefits include:

  • 1 CEU per session for CCAs
  • 1 RUP credit per week (when applicable) for Michigan pesticide applicators

 Session highlights include:

  • April 10 – Corn and Soybean Planting with Dr. Manni Singh
  • March 27 – Weed Control with Dr. Christy Sprague
  • April 3 – Planter Set-up with Jason Koning
  • July 17 – White Mold and Tar Spot with Dr. Marty Chilvers
