Pine County 4-H, part of the University of Minnesota Extension, is encouraging youth, families and community members to celebrate National 4-H Week on October 5, 2026. The event aims to highlight the impact of 4-H programs while promoting community involvement and support for youth development.
Participants are encouraged to wear green throughout the day and show their 4-H pride. Green hats, shirts, accessories, face paint and other creative items are all welcome as part of the celebration.
Organizers also encourage participants to share their experiences on social media. Photos and posts can be shared on Facebook and Instagram to raise awareness of National 4-H Week and showcase the achievements of local 4-H members.
The event is open to everyone, including current members, alumni, volunteers, families and supporters. It provides an opportunity for the community to recognize and celebrate the positive role of 4-H in developing leadership and life skills among young people.
The celebration is coordinated by Sarah Odendahl, Extension 4-H Youth Development Educator. Accommodations for individuals with disabilities may be available upon request, and participants are encouraged to submit requests at least two weeks before the event when possible.
The program will be offered in English, with interpreter services potentially available upon advance request. Through this community-wide initiative, Pine County 4-H hopes to strengthen connections while celebrating the value and impact of 4-H programs.
