The North Dakota Department of Agriculture has activated the annual Harvest Hotline to support farmers during the busy harvest season. Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring announced that farmers looking for custom combining services and harvesters searching for jobs can use the hotline to get connected quickly and easily.
By calling 701-328-5110, farmers and custom harvesters can have their information added to the Harvest Hotline database. The goal is to match available harvesters with farmers in need of help. This free service is available on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Staff from the Department of Agriculture will answer calls during those hours. Callers can also leave a message after hours or on weekends.
The Harvest Hotline was first launched in 1992 when poor weather led to a major need for custom combining. Since then, it has been offered every year to make the harvest season easier for both producers and harvesters.
The program continues to grow and remains a trusted resource for North Dakota’s farming communities. It helps speed up the harvest, avoid crop delays, and ensure that valuable farm resources do not go to waste.
