SDSU Extension will hold a Commercial Applicator Training at the Dacotah Bank Center in Brookings, SD, on February 6, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. The event provides essential training for commercial pesticide applicators seeking certification or recertification.
Attendees are required to bring a government-issued photo ID and their commercial pesticide applicator license for check-in. To complete recertification, participants must attend the Category G session.
Training Schedule:
The schedule includes key sessions led by industry experts:
- 8:30 a.m. – Check-in
- 8:45 a.m. – Orientation by SDSU Extension specialists
- 9:00 a.m. – Seed Treatment (Category 5)
- 10:00 a.m. – Agriculture Pest Management (Category 1)
- 11:30 a.m. – Mitigation Strategies (Category G)
- 12:00 p.m. – Lunch and vendor networking
- 1:30 p.m. – Regulatory Update (Category G)
- 2:00 p.m. – Climate Update (Category G)
- 3:00 p.m. – Roadside Weed Management (Category 7)
- 3:50 p.m. – Sign-out and conclusion
Registration Details:
Interested participants must register online by January 30, 2025. Vendors and organizations can also register to provide information and engage with attendees. Vendor registration includes a display booth and recertification for two attendees.
