Purdue Ag Alumni Gather Before Kickoff

Purdue Ag Alumni Gather Before Kickoff

By Andi Anderson

Purdue University is preparing to welcome Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends for a special Homecoming celebration on November 7, 2026.

The Purdue Ag Alumni and Vet Med Homecoming Tailgate will provide an opportunity for participants to reconnect, strengthen professional relationships, and celebrate their shared connection to the university.

The event will take place at Memorial Mall, located in the middle and south end area under a large event tent. Activities are scheduled to begin approximately two and a half hours before kickoff of the Purdue football game, allowing attendees ample time to enjoy the gathering before heading to the stadium.

The tailgate brunch is designed to bring together members of the Purdue community in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Alumni from various graduating classes will have the opportunity to reconnect with former classmates, meet current students, and engage with university faculty and staff.

Such events help maintain strong ties between graduates and the institution while promoting continued involvement in university programs and activities.

A key feature of the event will be the opportunity to visit with department representatives from Purdue’s agriculture and veterinary medicine programs. These interactions provide attendees with updates on academic programs, research initiatives, student opportunities, and developments within the college.

Current students can also benefit from networking with alumni who have built successful careers across the agricultural and animal science industries.

Homecoming events play an important role in strengthening university traditions and fostering a sense of community. They create opportunities for alumni to share experiences, exchange ideas, and support the next generation of agricultural professionals.

The gathering also highlights Purdue University's commitment to maintaining strong relationships with its graduates and supporters.

In addition to networking and campus engagement, attendees will enjoy a tailgate-style brunch while spending time with fellow members of the Purdue community.

The event offers a casual setting for meaningful conversations and professional connections before the excitement of game day begins.

Organizers encourage Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and students to participate in the celebration and take advantage of this opportunity to reconnect with the Purdue family.

The Homecoming Tailgate promises an enjoyable experience that combines fellowship, tradition, and school spirit while celebrating the continued impact of Purdue's agricultural and veterinary medicine communities.
