The Dakota Lakes Research Farm Field Day takes place in Pierre on June 26 from 3 p.m. to dusk. Guests will hear about research on more than a dozen crops and long-running studies on conservation practices.

The Southeast Research Farm Grain and Horticulture Crops Field Day takes place in Beresford on July 7 from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. This event will cover many crops, including soybeans, corn, potatoes, and peas.

The Oak Lake Field Station Field Day is scheduled in Astoria on July 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees will learn about preserving native prairie and conservation methods being used across the state.

Also on July 9, the Northeast Research Farm Field Day takes place in South Shore from 4 p.m. to dusk. This area has unique growing conditions, making research here valuable for local farmers.

Later in the season, the West River Research Farm Field Day is set for Sturgis on Sept. 9 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Topics will include virtual fencing technology, stocking rate research, and more.

The final event is the Southeast Research Farm Forage and Livestock Field Day in Beresford on Sept. 10 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It will focus on many livestock and forage topics important to southeast South Dakota.
