The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in South Dakota will host its virtual State Technical Advisory Committee (STC) meeting at 10 a.m. CDT on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. This session is expected to last between one and a half to two hours.
This meeting will feature updates from Congressional staff, discussions on agency conservation practices, producer insights, wetlands and highly erodible land compliance.
Attendees will also receive updates on Farm Bill programs, including the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP), and Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) managed by the Farm Service Agency (FSA). Information on the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and conservation easements will also be shared.
Partners are invited to provide brief updates on their organizational activities and upcoming events. Those interested in participating should notify Colette Kessler, Assistant State Conservationist for Partnerships, via email at colette.kessler@usda.gov.
