The Southern Ohio Women in Agriculture Conference returns for its second year on April 4, 2025, at Bell Manor, Chillicothe, OH. This event provides a platform for women in agriculture to network, learn from experts, and engage in hands-on activities.
Key Highlights of the Event
Grant Writing Workshop – Led by Gwynn Stewart, this session will help attendees craft strong funding applications and build relationships with funders.
Marketing Strategies – Christy Welch and Kate Hornyak from OSU Extension Direct Marketing will share techniques to engage target audiences and enhance business visibility.
From Soil to Success Panel – Women farmers, including Mandy Way (Farmers’ Markets), Dana Workman (Livestock), Liz Fundergurgh (Agronomic Crops), and Alanna Reisinger (Floriculture Production), will share their experiences.
Snapshot Strategies – Jenny Stoneking and Christy Millhouse will teach attendees how to capture high-quality marketing photos using cameras, iPads, or phones.
Floral Arrangement Workshop – Participants will create vase arrangements with tulips, daffodils, and crocuses while learning multi-season planting techniques.
