A free online webinar titled “Ask a Swine Specialist: From Swine Health to Feed” will take place on Monday, June 1, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. CDT. The event is specially designed for small and beginning pig farmers who want guidance on swine farming and animal care.
The webinar will be conducted through Zoom and will feature a panel of experienced swine specialists. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions related to pig health, feed management, nutrition, housing, and daily farm challenges. The session will be interactive, allowing farmers to learn directly from experts in the field.
The program is hosted by the University of Minnesota Extension, Iowa State University, and Ohio State University. Funding support for the webinar has been provided through the National Pork Board Swine Educators grant program. Organizers aim to provide useful information that can help pig farmers improve animal care and farm management practices.
The webinar is completely free for all participants. However, registration is required before joining the online session. Interested participants can register through the official Zoom registration page: Swine Specialist Webinar Registration
The organizers also shared that the program will be delivered in English, and interpreter services may be available if requested in advance. In addition, the University of Minnesota Extension is committed to providing equal participation opportunities for everyone. Individuals needing accommodations due to disabilities are encouraged to contact the event organizers at least two weeks before the webinar begins.
The event will help farmers gain practical knowledge and improve their understanding of swine production. Experts believe such educational programs can support better livestock management and strengthen the future of small-scale pig farming. Since the session is live, participants can ask direct questions and receive expert advice instantly.
