Iowa State University Extension and Outreach has launched an updated version of its Integrated Crop Management (ICM) website, offering farmers, crop consultants, and landowners improved access to timely agronomic information.
While the website’s URL remains the same (https://crops.extension.iastate.edu), this update is the first major redesign since 2017.
The new layout enhances navigation, making it easier for users to find critical crop management resources. The website is now mobile-friendly and aligns with university requirements.
The homepage now includes:
- A timely topics section featuring the latest ICM articles and blogs.
- A direct link to upcoming crops-related extension events across Iowa.
- A "People" menu to help users connect with local extension field agronomists and specialists.
The site now features dedicated landing pages for Crops, Soils, Pests, Weather, and Equipment. Each section provides specialized content, including news, blogs, encyclopedia articles, and practical tools for farmers.
“We are excited for the updates and changes to the Integrated Crop Management website,” said Rebecca Vittetoe, ISU Extension field agronomist. “The new site is easier to navigate and remains a trusted source for agronomic information.”
Existing subscribers will continue receiving email alerts for new ICM articles and blogs, while new users can sign up using the subscribe link on the homepage.
ISU Extension encourages farmers and industry professionals to explore the updated website and use it as a key resource for crop production and management strategies.
