This workshop focuses on resources available in the Twin Cities metro area and nearby regions.

The event is organized in partnership with the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum’s Farm at the Arb apprenticeship program. It aims to give clear and simple information about the steps needed to begin urban farming. Participants learn about funding options, training programs, and practical tools that can help them succeed.

This program is open to the public and mainly designed for adults. However, young people can attend if they are accompanied by an adult. The event is free of cost, making it accessible to anyone interested in agriculture and food systems.

Participants must register online through the official Google form..The organizers also ensure equal access to all participants. People who need special accommodation can contact the event organizers at least two weeks before the program. Language support services may also be provided if requested in advance.

Overall, this workshop provides a helpful starting point for beginners. It explains how urban farming works and highlights the support systems available. By attending, individuals can gain knowledge and confidence to begin their journey in urban agriculture while connecting with local resources and community programs.
