The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has recently promoted several key individuals to senior positions within the organization, signaling a strategic emphasis on enhancing agricultural policies and support systems.
Jeremy Adamson has been elevated to Chief of Staff for Research, Education, and Economics, where he will continue his work on international climate initiatives and innovation in agriculture. Adamson’s extensive background includes roles in trade, climate policy, and agricultural economics, making him well-suited to lead USDA's research efforts into new technologies and sustainable practices.
Deidre Deculus Robert, previously State Director of Rural Development in Louisiana, has been appointed as Director of State Operations for Rural Development. In her new role, Robert will expand her impact by overseeing programs that foster growth and sustainability in rural communities across the United States. Her legal and administrative expertise will guide her in implementing effective rural development strategies.
Ellis Collier has been promoted to Senior Policy Advisor for the Natural Resources Conservation Service. Collier's past experiences in legislative relations and conservation policy will enhance his contributions to USDA’s efforts in managing and conserving natural resources effectively.
Lastly, Malikha Daniels steps into the role of Senior Policy Advisor for the Foreign Agricultural Service, where she will leverage her extensive experience in legislative affairs and agricultural policy to strengthen U.S. agricultural interests globally.
These appointments reflect the USDA’s commitment to advancing agricultural research, supporting rural communities, conserving natural resources, and promoting international agricultural relations.
