Voting will close on August 31 for next year’s Cattle Feeders Hall of Fame (CFHOF) inductees. Two individuals will be honored based on the number of ballots submitted.
This year’s Kansas nominees include the late Glenn Mull of Haviland and the late Bob Foote of Bucyrus. Mull co-owned Mull Farms and Feeding Inc., which began with one feedyard in Pawnee Rock and expanded to four additional cattle feeding and backgrounding operations across Kansas. He was an active member of industry associations before his passing in 2014.
Foote founded Foote Cattle Company in 1985 alongside his wife. Their enterprise included farming, order buying, and cattle feeding. In 1997, the company acquired Hoxie Feedyard, later expanding into Nebraska. Over time, the business grew to encompass feedyards, farming, ranching, and banking operations. Foote passed away in 2022.
In addition to these nominees, the late Greg Henderson of Olathe has been nominated for the Industry Leadership Award. Raised on a Flint Hills ranch and educated at Kansas State University, Henderson served the cattle industry for nearly 40 years as a writer and editor for Drovers. His work provided timely news and in-depth analysis on all aspects of the beef business. He passed away unexpectedly in 2024.
The CFHOF recognizes individuals who have made lasting contributions to the cattle feeding industry, honoring both innovation and leadership. Voting is open to industry members, and the results will determine the 2025 inductees.
Those interested in participating can cast their votes online before the deadline.
