Wood County Farm Bureau Hosts Data Center Program

Wood County Farm Bureau Hosts Data Center Program

By Andi Anderson

The Wood County Farm Bureau will host an educational program focused on data center operations and their impact on agriculture and local communities. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 26, at 7 p.m. and will be held at the Wood County Fairgrounds Junior Fair Building in Ohio.

The event aims to inform members about important topics related to data centers. Discussions will cover energy markets, pipeline technology, water usage, and other operational aspects that may influence rural communities.

As data centers continue to expand, understanding their resource demands and economic effects has become increasingly important for farmers and landowners.

The featured speaker will be the Ohio Farm Bureau director of energy development. The presentation will provide insights into how data centers connect with regional energy systems and infrastructure.

Attendees will also learn about the broader implications for agriculture, land use, and local utilities.

This is a members-only event. Farm Bureau members are encouraged to register in advance by contacting the local office. While members may attend at the door, pre-registration is recommended because seating may be limited.

Individuals who are not currently members but wish to participate are encouraged to join the organization before the event.

In addition to the educational program, the Farm Bureau will invite participants to share policy suggestions. Members will have the opportunity to submit ideas for consideration by the local county board.

This grassroots process allows farmers and rural residents to help shape policies that affect agriculture and rural communities.

By hosting this meeting, the Wood County Farm Bureau continues its commitment to education and member engagement. The program offers a chance to learn about emerging developments, ask questions, and contribute to meaningful policy discussions that impact Ohio agriculture.
