2025 Pennsylvania Farm Show anthem contest - submit by November 17th

2025 Pennsylvania Farm Show anthem contest - submit by November 17th

By Blake Jackson

The 2025 PA Farm Show, also known as the Pennsylvania State Fair, is seeking talented voices to perform the national anthem each morning of the event.

Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding encourages residents of all ages, individuals or groups, to participate in the annual "Oh, Say, Can You Sing?" contest.

“Our 2025 Farm Show theme is Powering Pennsylvania," Secretary Redding said. "There’s no better way to start each day of the PA Farm Show than by hearing a powerful reminder of the pride and freedom that make our country, our commonwealth, and our agriculture industry great.

To enter, submit a video of yourself singing the Star-Spangled Banner a cappella (without instruments) by November 17th, 11:59 pm. You can either email a YouTube link to agcontests@pa.gov or upload your video directly to the comments section of the PA Farm Show Facebook page contest posts.

Fan voting will determine the finalists. From November 19th to 24th, the public can cast their votes through reactions (likes, loves, wows, etc.) on the Farm Show Facebook page. The top 10 finalists will be announced and contacted by email with their designated singing date.

Winners will receive a complimentary parking pass and must arrive at the Farm Show Complex by 7:45 am on their performance day. The honor of singing the national anthem live falls to one lucky winner each morning, January 4th through 11th, 2025.

For further inquiries, contact Shannon Powers at 717-603-2056 or shpowers@pa.gov. Don't miss this chance to showcase your talent and celebrate Pennsylvania pride at the 2025 PA Farm Show!
