2026 Stride Conference will Connect Students with Ag Careers

2026 Stride Conference will Connect Students with Ag Careers

By Blake Jackson

High school students interested in agriculture, leadership development, and career exploration will have an opportunity to expand their knowledge and build connections at the 2026 Stride Youth Conference, organized by Professional Dairy Producers (PDP).

The one-day event will take place Tuesday, November 17, 2026, on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. Designed for students ages 15-18, the conference will introduce participants to career opportunities in agriculture, science, technology, business and related industries.

"One of the great things about Stride is that students can attend multiple times and have a completely different experience each year," said Amber Keel, PDP program manager. "The location and hands-on lab programs change with each edition and there’s always new people to meet and new opportunities to explore.”

This year's program will feature leadership activities and interactive learning experiences. Michael Hoffman, founder and owner of Igniting Performance, Inc., will lead an engaging session focused on developing communication, problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Participants will also tour the UW-Madison Dairy Cattle Center, take part in a food sensory and tasting activity, and have opportunities to connect with other students and industry professionals.

The conference qualifies as an above-the-chapter-level activity for FFA members.

Students will remain under chaperone supervision throughout the event. Parents or guardians must complete and sign the required health form and waiver provided after registration.

Registration is open through Thursday, November 12, 2026. Students can find additional information and register at www.PDPW.org or contact Professional Dairy Producers at 800-947-7379.
