AFBF social media program clinches top award

AFBF social media program clinches top award

By Jamie Martin

The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) has been honored with the Power of Associations Silver Award for its Social Media Ambassador Program.

This initiative engages Collegiate Farm Bureau members who use social media to highlight the annual leadership conference and promote the organization's mission.

Selected for their influential online presence, these ambassadors share experiences and insights from the conference, fostering a broader understanding and participation in AFBF’s activities.

Zippy Duvall, President of AFBF, praised the ambassadors for their role in elevating the organization’s educational and community service efforts.

The program not only provides valuable exposure for the AFBF but also offers collegiate members significant professional development opportunities, including financial support to attend the leadership conference. This symbiotic relationship enhances the Farm Bureau’s outreach and the personal growth of its student members.

Celebrated by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), the award highlights the AFBF’s contribution to both the agriculture sector and society at large.

The recognition underlines the strategic use of social media in extending the reach and impact of association initiatives. This prestigious accolade will be formally recognized at the ASAE’s annual Summit Awards Dinner in Washington, D.C.
