AI-Powered Weed Control Expands Across South Dakota Farms

AI-Powered Weed Control Expands Across South Dakota Farms

By Scout Nelson

Greeneye Technology has partnered with Intellifarms Northern Division to expand access to AI-powered targeted spraying technology across South Dakota and the Upper Midwest. The partnership will strengthen local sales, installation, service, and customer support for growers interested in precision agriculture solutions.

Based in Britton, South Dakota, Intellifarms Northern Division serves farmers throughout South Dakota and neighboring states. The company is expanding its precision agriculture offerings to help producers adopt technologies that improve efficiency and generate measurable returns.

Greeneye's targeted spraying system uses artificial intelligence to detect weeds in real time and apply herbicides only where needed. This approach helps reduce herbicide use while maintaining effective weed control and lowering input costs.

The technology features a dual-tank, dual-line configuration that allows growers to apply residual herbicides across an entire field while targeting non-residual herbicides only to detected weeds. This system can significantly reduce herbicide applications and improve overall spraying efficiency.

Another advantage for South Dakota producers is the ability to retrofit the technology onto existing commercial sprayers. The system operates day and night and does not require per-acre software fees, providing a practical and cost-effective precision spraying solution.

The partnership combines Intellifarms' local expertise and grower relationships with Greeneye's advanced spraying technology. Company leaders expect the collaboration to help South Dakota farmers improve profitability, increase operational efficiency, and support long-term sustainability.
