Alice in Dairyland Finals Set for May in Wisconsin

Alice in Dairyland Finals Set for May in Wisconsin

By Blake Jackson

Tickets are now available for the 78th Alice in Dairyland Finals, an annual Wisconsin tradition celebrating agriculture and selecting the state's next agricultural ambassador. This year's event will take place in Crawford County from May 15th to 17th.

Over three days, top candidates will participate in industry tours, media interviews, and public speaking engagements, evaluated by a selection panel. The public is invited to two key events.

The Wisconsin Products Showcase will be held on Friday, May 16th, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Community Commerce Center in Gays Mills. For $25, attendees can enjoy a grazing table featuring local Wisconsin products and one drink ticket.

Each candidate will highlight a specific agricultural product, offering guests a chance to meet them and learn about their promotional strategies. The grazing table, provided by Baker's Touch, will feature local produce, meats, cheeses, and baked goods, with a cash bar also available.

The grand finale will occur on Saturday, May 17th, in Prairie du Chien. A commemorative dinner will be held at the historic Dousman House from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, offering a locally steeped backdrop for food and fellowship.

Following dinner, the public is invited to the Prairie du Chien Area Arts Center (PAAC) for the finale program, featuring introductions of the candidates, informative presentations, and the highly anticipated announcement of the 78th Alice in Dairyland.

A dessert reception will follow at the PAAC, celebrating this first-time event in Crawford County. Tickets for the dinner and dessert are $50, while those wishing to attend only the finale and dessert at the PAAC can purchase tickets for $10.
