Beef Quality Assurance Training on January 20

By Blake Jackson

Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) is a comprehensive certification program designed to ensure the production of safe, high-quality beef products for consumers.

The program covers a wide range of important topics, including herd health management, nutrition, animal behavior, and proper handling techniques.

Producers who attend the classroom training will become certified at Level 1, equipping them with the knowledge needed to maintain high standards in beef production. Additionally, chute-side training is available for those looking for hands-on experience.

The training session is scheduled for January 20, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at C N Tommell LLC, located at 142 Rock Road, Berne, New York 12023. The cost to attend is $10.00 per person.

For further inquiries, contact Rachel Moody via email at ram72@cornell.edu or by phone at 518-649-0267.

Following the training, the New York Beef Producers’ Association Region 12 meeting will take place, featuring food and networking opportunities.

For additional information about the meeting, reach out to Ryan McLenithan at 518-796-0308 or Robert Church at 518-706-0520.
