Brayden Peter Joins WPA Internship Program

Brayden Peter Joins WPA Internship Program

By Blake Jackson

The Wisconsin Pork Association (WPA) proudly welcomes Brayden Peter as its 2025 summer intern, beginning June 2. Brayden, originally from Howards Grove, Wisconsin, is a junior at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. He is currently pursuing dual degrees in Animal Science and Agricultural Business.

Brayden has a strong background in agriculture. He was raised on his family’s show pig operation and works at UW-Platteville’s Swine Center. His early interest in agriculture led him to join 4-H and FFA. Today, he continues his leadership journey as president of the university’s Block and Bridle Club and an active member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity.

As an intern, Brayden will serve as the official youth representative of the Wisconsin Pork Association. His main duties include assisting with key events such as the Pork Schoppe and the Hall of Fame at the Wisconsin State Fair. He will also help promote producer programming, work on enhancing youth outreach, job shadow industry professionals, and develop a special project.

Additionally, Brayden will engage with pork producers and allied industry members and give a final presentation at the end of his internship. His goal is to gain leadership and communication skills, educate consumers about the swine industry, and learn how to advocate for pork and defend agricultural rights.

Brayden is enthusiastic about supporting the pork industry and is eager to serve producers and consumers across the state. His passion and dedication make him a valuable asset to the Wisconsin Pork Association.
