Congressman David Taylor met with farmers and agricultural leaders from Adams, Brown, and Clermont counties on February 20, 2025, at the Brown County Fairgrounds.
As a member of the House Committee on Agriculture, Taylor used this opportunity to hear directly from local producers about the challenges and opportunities in the agricultural industry.
Roundtable Discussion on Agricultural Priorities
The discussion included 34 community leaders, with representatives from OSU Extension, Soil and Water Conservation District offices, county officials, and Ohio Farm Bureau’s policy team. Topics covered included:
- The upcoming farm bill and its potential impact on farmers.
- Sustainability of family farms and preserving rural agriculture.
- Government transparency in policies affecting the farming sector.
- Ethanol expansion and its role in boosting rural economies.
Taylor’s Commitment to Farmers
Taylor emphasized his dedication to supporting agriculture, ensuring farmers have the necessary resources, policies, and tools to succeed. He reaffirmed the importance of working alongside local producers to shape effective agricultural policies.
