Farmers Can Learn Easy Ways to Protect Soil and Water

Farmers Can Learn Easy Ways to Protect Soil and Water

By Blake Jackson

A educational webinar focused on protecting soil and water resources will be held on July 29, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM ET. The session is designed to help participants understand how agricultural practices can be improved to support long-term environmental sustainability while maintaining productive farming systems.

The webinar will highlight best management practices (BMPs) that help reduce soil erosion, manage runoff, and prevent water pollution. It will also cover both on-farm and surrounding impacts on water quality, including private water supplies in nearby areas.

Participants will learn how structural, agronomic, and behavioral approaches can work together to strengthen soil health and improve water protection.

Key topics will include how farming activities can influence water quality, the importance of establishing water supply protection areas, and practical strategies for safeguarding local water resources. These insights are intended to support better decision-making for farmers, conservation professionals, and private water users.

The event is free of charge, but registration is required to receive the webinar access link. It offers valuable guidance for anyone interested in improving environmental stewardship and building more resilient agricultural systems.
