Farmers, landowners, and agricultural professionals will have the opportunity to explore the features of PAOneStop during a live demonstration scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon on August 12 at the West 9th Street Meeting and Professional Training Area of the Russell E. Larson Agricultural Research Center at Rock Springs.
The educational session is designed to help participants understand how the online platform streamlines farm planning by combining aerial imagery, interactive mapping tools, soil information, calculation features, and planning modules into one user-friendly system.
During the workshop, attendees will learn how to navigate PAOneStop, create detailed farm maps, calculate soil loss, prepare agricultural erosion and sediment control plans, and use the platform’s newly introduced manure management planning module.
The demonstration aims to provide practical guidance for improving farm management and meeting conservation planning requirements.
PAOneStop is developed and maintained by Penn State Extension with financial and technical support from the Pennsylvania State Conservation Commission, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, along with technical assistance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service.
The demonstration is part of Ag Progress Days, hosted by Penn State’s College of Agricultural Sciences. The annual event takes place at the Russell E. Larson Agricultural Research Center at Rock Springs, with free admission and parking available for all visitors.
