Free urban beekeeping workshop in St. Louis

Join us on August 1, 2024, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. at 8225 Florissant Road, Saint Louis, MO 63121, for an informative session on urban beekeeping. This free event is designed to provide valuable insights into keeping bees in a city environment.

During the workshop, participants will explore a range of topics essential for successful urban beekeeping. The session will cover general bee biology, offering a foundational understanding of these crucial pollinators.

Attendees will also learn about managing bee hives, including best practices for maintaining healthy colonies. The workshop will discuss the unique considerations for siting urban apiaries, ensuring that hives are located in optimal conditions for both bees and their human neighbors.

Additionally, the economics of beekeeping will be addressed, providing an overview of the financial aspects of starting and maintaining a beekeeping operation.

A general Q&A session will allow attendees to ask questions and gain further clarity on specific beekeeping concerns.
