The Michigan Christmas Tree Association is organizing its annual summer meeting to support learning and collaboration among tree growers and industry professionals. The event will take place on July 23 and 24, 2026, at Timberly Tree Farm in Sturgis, Michigan. Pre-registration has already begun, and participants can also register on the day of the event.
The meeting is being supported by the Michigan State University Extension Christmas tree team. It will offer a wide range of educational sessions designed to help growers improve their production and business practices. These sessions will cover important topics such as pest management, marketing strategies, and recent research developments in the field of Christmas tree farming.
Participants will benefit from both indoor and outdoor learning sessions. The program includes demonstrations, panel discussions, and additional presentations that will provide practical knowledge and real-world insights. Such activities aim to help attendees understand better methods of growing and maintaining healthy Christmas trees.
This event also creates an excellent opportunity for networking. Growers, vendors, and experts from across the United States will gather to share knowledge and experiences. Participants can interact with leading researchers and professionals, allowing them to stay updated with modern techniques and industry trends.
The meeting is open to everyone interested in Christmas tree farming, and membership in the Michigan Christmas Tree Association is not required to attend. This inclusive approach encourages wider participation and learning across different groups.
Another important benefit for attendees is the availability of restricted use pesticide credits. Participants can earn three credits each day, which can help them meet certification requirements while enhancing their knowledge of safe pesticide use.
