Missouri State Fair Honors 2026 Farm Families

Missouri State Fair Honors 2026 Farm Families

By Blake Jackson

The Missouri Farm Bureau, in partnership with key agricultural organizations, continues its tradition of recognizing excellence through Farm Family Day at the Missouri State Fair on Monday, August 11, 2026. This year marks the 66th anniversary of honoring outstanding farm families across Missouri.

Farm families are selected from each county based on their farming operations, community involvement, participation in programs such as 4-H, and commitment to preserving agricultural traditions and values.

The event is supported by the Missouri Farm Bureau, Missouri Department of Agriculture, Missouri State Fair, MU Extension and Engagement, and the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, highlighting the strength and diversity of agriculture in the state.

The 2026 honorees represent a wide range of farming practices, including row crops, livestock, organic farming, orchards, agritourism, and urban agriculture.

Selected families from each county contribute to Missouri’s agricultural heritage, with participants representing communities across the state.

Farm Family Day underscores the importance of agriculture in supporting local communities and the economy, while continuing a longstanding tradition that celebrates Missouri’s farming legacy.
