Get ready for spring gardening with a free seminar hosted by University of Missouri Extension in Cole County and Central Missouri Master Gardeners. The daylong event will be held March 1st at the Missouri River Regional Library in Jefferson City.
This informative seminar covers a range of topics to help gardeners prepare for a successful season. Learn about residential landscape design from Tim Moloney and understand fundamental plant pathology and disease diagnosis with Peng Tian from the MU Plant Diagnostic Clinic.
Tim Reinbott will share lessons learned from 20 years of the MU Tomato Festival.
Commercial grower Amanda Keene will discuss flower production in central Missouri. Central Missouri Master Gardeners will also lead a session on integrated pest management. Two of the sessions qualify for Master Gardener advanced education hours.
