The University of Florida and Penn State are conducting a critical survey aimed at gathering valuable insights from both organic and conventional fruit and vegetable growers on the use of Anaerobic Soil Disinfestation (ASD).
ASD is an innovative method used to improve soil health and manage soilborne diseases by creating an anaerobic environment that helps reduce harmful pathogens.
This survey aims to better understand how ASD is being implemented across the United States, the challenges growers face, and the barriers hindering its wider adoption. Even if you have not yet used ASD in your farming practices, your input is still incredibly valuable.
By sharing your experiences, you will help researchers identify areas for improvement and develop better solutions for growers in diverse farming environments.
The survey is open now and will remain accessible until February 2025. All growers, regardless of whether they currently use ASD, are encouraged to participate.
The feedback will directly contribute to the ongoing research and development of ASD practices that could benefit soil health and farming sustainability.
